Breaking Wedding Traditions

In 2024 Valen Studios saw more couples breaking the traditional wedding layout from the 30 weddings we did.

We saw couples getting married with a smaller group of people at a church, courthouse, or eloping on one day then having a wedding reception on a different date with all their family and friends.

Couples who had their ceremony and reception all in one place opted to do a first look to take advantage of getting more photos done before the ceremony. A lot of brides did a first look with their fathers and even their bridesmaids.

We noticed more couples either had no one standing up or had a smaller bridal party. As result they got more photos of them and were able to get more photos with their family.

A lot of couples told us they wanted to break some wedding traditions by omitting the traditional cake cut, took out speeches, they merged parent dances in one song, to not doing the garter or bouquet toss.

These new trends are making each wedding unique and more rememberable.
